Cabinet Paint Colors to Pair With Painted Marble Countertops
I was asked last week about what paint colors would be a good option to pair with painted marble countertops, specifically countertops painted with a Giani marble paint kit and since so many of you have expressed an interest in painting your countertops I thought it might make a good blog post!
First off, I want to talk about the color of the painted marble- the base white that comes in the kit is a very cool white, which means it has slightly blue undertones. I actually think it will pair nicely with most colors, but try to stay away from bright whites with warm undertones. Two bright whites right next to each other with different undertones will look off. So if you are going for a white I suggest either trying to match it in color or tone or go for a white/neutral that is so different that the undertone will not matter (more on that in a minute). If you want to try and match the countertop to the marble go with a bright white with cool blue undertones like Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace or Sherwin Williams Extra White.

This kitchen is painted in Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace and it's a very true white with just a hint of blue undertones and should pair nicely with the Giani Marble Paint Kit. If you're wanting a slight contrast from the countertops with a creamier tone then I suggest Sherwin Williams Divine White (this is what we have!) or Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige. Both of these colors are far enough off to not look like they are trying to match the countertops and are both beautiful creamy white tones.

Sherwin Williams Snowbound is also a beautiful white tone that I think would look awesome with painted marble. Here's a little cheat sheet of these colors and a few other neutrals I think would pair beautifully!
But of course you know I also love color and if you want to go bold with your cabinets then by all means- please do it!! Here are some fun moodier cabinetry and marble pairings.

And here's my cheat sheet of the moody paint colors I think would look beautiful with painted marble. They all happen to be Farrow and Ball colors which are a bit pricier, but Sherwin Williams does a beautiful job of color matching for less than half the cost of a gallon of F&B paint. I will always say that if you're going for a big and bold color Farrow and Ball is the way to go! Their colors are tried and true and always turn out beautifully!
What do you think? Do you know of any other paint colors you think would pair well with a Giani Marble Paint Kit? Let me know in the comments!
P.S. Before jumping into painting anything I always recommend grabbing a few samples and testing them in your space first, lighting can change so much so look at the colors in the daylight with the lights off, with the lights on, at night, and make sure you feel confident with the color before moving forward!
