Style a Fireplace Mantle in 4 Easy Steps (with a TV above it!)
This week for the #StyleItNow challenge I tackled styling our fireplace!

I hadn't touched it since Christmas, when it looked beautiful...

But since I had tucked away all the decorations (months ago), it had been sitting like this...

Yikes! There are still some major changes I would like to make to it (such as tiling over the brown brick and ripping out the box molding above it), but for today I styled it out and wanted to share a few tips for you- especially those of you with a TV above the fireplace! Typically a TV above the fireplace is a pretty big design no-no, but we purchased this Frame TV to go above our mantle so it's technically art right?? Which is a big YES to go above the fireplace! If you don't have the budget for a Frame TV make sure to check out this post here where I break-down how to create a DIY version, which is what we did in our main bedroom.

But today I created this fun stop motion video to show you how to style out your fireplace with a TV over it in four easy steps!!
Let's break it down a bit more!
Art- I used one large central piece and added a few smaller pieces which made for a nice layered look
Plants- You know these are just clippings from my backyard shoved into some thrift store vases (oh and one cute mini faux guy from target).
Accessories- I used a clock, some books, and a vintage hourglass
Basket- a basket at the base of the fireplace are your best friend- add in some blankets for a cozy vibe
I'm so happy with the outcome!

Even though that brown brick does still hurt my eyes- ha!
If you style your fireplace using this method please let me know I would love to see it- be sure to tag me on Instagram or Facebook!
